The Main Floor
Opens to the kitchen, full of light.
Off the kitchen, the main floor opens into one bright living space, with paired windows at the hearth and a cream enameled stove set between built-in shelves.
The living area opens straight off the kitchen, with no wall between them. Paired windows flank the hearth and a row of windows runs high across the far end, so the room takes light from more than one side.
A cream enameled wood-burning stove with an arched glass door sits in a tiled hearth, flanked by built-in shelves and vented through the chimney. At the far end, a tall closet is built into the wall. A stained-glass pendant hangs between the living room and the kitchen, and a cast-iron radiator holds one corner, both original to the house.
From the living room you see straight through to the kitchen and dining on one side, and the stairs and entry on the other. Everything was redone, floors to fixtures, with a half bath on this level so guests don't need to go upstairs.
